Table setting: For most of us it's a chore, but for some it is a sport. Once a year, a group of highly competitive table-setters vie for the “Best of Show” ribbon at the Orange County Fair competition, often referred to as “The Olympics of Table Setting.”

After Polaroid acknowledged the ascendancy of digital technology and announced it would shut down its last factory in 2008, eccentric Austrian scientist Dr. Florian Kaps became a man with a mission: to replicate the company’s famously complicated formula and revive interest in instant photography. But passion alone can’t make up for a lack of business acumen.
