SUMMARY:The Gibson Brothers
DESCRIPTION:$35/non-members\n$30/members \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nWhile The Gibson Brothers’ last release\, Mockingbird\, featured gorgeous production\, recreating the sound on stage was difficult. “We put together a band to go out and try to recreate it\,” remembers Eric Gibson. “But we couldn’t. We would have to have such a huge band to try to recreate that record\, but we did the best we could.” \nDarkest Hour producer Jerry Douglas—who has won 14 Grammy awards and backed up everyone from Ray Charles to Paul Simon and George Jones—wanted to make a record The Gibson Brothers could actually play on the road. So\, he picked the best songs out of dozens and squirreled the group away in Sound Emporium’s Studio B. But then the pandemic hit. “We did our last shows in March of 2020\,” Eric says. “We were in Nashville the week everything was shutting down. It was surreal\, but Jerry was like\, ‘Guys\, the world’s going crazy. Let’s let this be our little cocoon.’ And we did. We cut all of the acoustic stuff and then went home and didn’t play any more gigs until things started opening. Then we went back and finished the record with Jerry in February of 2021.” \nThe result is arguably the strongest record The Gibson Brothers have ever made. The songs recorded in the first recording period featured Mike Barber (bass)\, Justin Moses (mandolin)\, Eamon McGloughlin (fiddle)\, and of course\, Jerry Douglas\, adding in John Gardner (drums)\, Guthrie Trapp (electric guitar)\, Todd Parks(bass)\, and Alison Krauss (vocals) for the final tracks\, Darkest Hour showcases just how easily Eric and Leigh move from what Dan Auerbach dubbed “country soul” (“I Go Driving”) to high octane bluegrass (“What a Difference A Day Makes” and “Dust”) with Douglas always keeping the spotlight on the songs themselves. “That’s what I love about those guys\,” Douglas says\, “they are just great songwriters.” \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nCheck out the official music video of their cover of R.E.M.’s Everybody Hurts \n

SUMMARY:Jeffrey Gaines
DESCRIPTION:with Special Guest Frank Viele\n$18/Members\n$20/Non-Members \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nJeffrey Gaines has been heralded for his soul-searching lyrics and his powerful live performances. With only his voice and a guitar for accompaniment\, Gaines has earned a reputation as a captivating performer\, entertaining his audiences worldwide. \nThroughout his three-decade recording career\, Gaines has maintained an impressive standard for soul-searching\, introspective lyrics and catchy\, uplifting melodies. Since bursting on the scene with his self-titled 1992 debut album\, the charismatic singer-songwriter-guitarist has built a beloved body of recordings that’s won him a large and deeply devoted international fan base. He has sold out theaters and clubs throughout North America and Europe\, and has earned high respect from his peers\, Gaines was featured as Special Guest on tours with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers\, Tracy Chapman\, Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow\, among many others. \nGaines has been pursuing musical transcendence for much of his life. Raised in Harrisburg\, Pennsylvania\, by soul-music-loving parents\, he began his musical life playing guitar in local cover combos\, before his songwriting muse became too insistent to ignore. He soon landed his first record deal shortly after graduating from high school\, and in 1992 released his widely acclaimed debut album Jeffrey Gaines. The eponymous disc won massive amounts of critical and audience acclaim\, spawning the hit “Hero in Me.” Somewhat Slightly Dazed (1994) and Galore (1998) further expanded his audience. Interview magazine described Gaines’ work as “soul-searching” and “refreshingly free of jargon\, sentiment or cliché.” \nWith more than a quarter-century of recording and performing under his belt\, Jeffrey Gaines is enjoying life and music more than ever. “Nowadays\, I know what the job is about so there’s nothing to stress about\, he says. “I know that there’s people out there who want it\, so I have the opportunity to extend their experience. I guess I could lay my albums all out and see that they tell a story\, but personally I prefer to keep looking forward.” \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nUp until now\, Frank Viele has been something of a regional secret throughout New England. His quadruple-threat reputation as a singer\, guitarist\, songwriter and performer is unrivaled there\, as recognized by the New England Music Awards for Album of the Year\, Male Performer of the Year\, and Live Act of The Year he has stashed somewhere in his Connecticut home. \nOf course\, musically tuned-in folks throughout the world have been hearing reports of Viele’s prowess for several years. No Depression might have piqued their curiosity with its praise for his “vivid storytelling.” Or maybe they read about his singing in The Alternate Root\, which observed that his “street growl” could rivet passersby. Howl Magazine even called his shows “transcendent” and predicted that his music “will rattle your bones and penetrate to the core.” \nTruth be told\, audiences around the country have begun taking notice as Viele plays in further-flung venues. Since his first album\, Fall Your Way\, dropped in 2015\, he’s been called to open for Will Hoge\, Blues Traveler\, Lee DeWyze\, Zach Myers of Shinedown\, The Marshall Tucker Band\, and in his somewhat wonderstruck words\, “artists who have been on my personal playlists for years.” \nPURCHASE TICKETS

SUMMARY:Soggy Po' Boys
DESCRIPTION:$12/Members\n$15/Non-Members \n“Although New Hampshire isn’t the most obvious home for a group so devoted to the culture of The Big Easy\, the Soggy Po’ Boys seem genuine in their ambition to spread the word about jazz New Orleans style\, and they’re creating an accessible and fun way into this world.”\n-London Jazz News \n“…These guys have done their homework\, worked it out on the bandstand and put in the hours in the studio. It all adds up to a party you can bring with you when you want to treat your friends to a real good time.” \n-Ben Schenck of New Orleans’ Panorama Jazz Band \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nThe Soggy Po Boys\, native to New England\, have quickly become an institution. They are spreading the good news of New Orleans music across the northeast and beyond\, playing at concert halls and street corners; music festivals and burlesque festivals; bars and libraries; wherever the party requires. Part of the beauty of New Orleans music is that it’s celebrated and appreciated wherever it goes\, from the street to the theater. \nThe Po Boys formed in 2012 to shake the walls of a local club on a Fat Tuesday but have honed their sound and become more than a Mardi Gras centerpiece. Exploring the vast musical traditions of New Orleans and expanding their repertoire to look beyond NOLA jazz\, the band includes traditional Caribbean tunes (it’s been said that New Orleans is the northernmost city in the Caribbean)\, as well as Meters funk\, soul\, and brass band / street beat music. There are a myriad of traditions that flow into New Orleans culture just as there are tributaries that feed the Mississippi\, and the Po Boys are eager to explore what makes the music of New Orleans so damn special. You’ll hear the heavy influence of the New Orleans sound across the band and in the stories told by their original tunes. Despite the scope of its sound\, the outfit is only seven people\, and thrives on the interplay and group dynamics that bring this music to life. \nThe Soggy Po Boys are: \nStu Dias- Vocals / Guitar\nEric Klaxton- Clarinet/Sop. Sax\nJosh Gagnon – Trombone\nNick Mainella- Tenor Sax\nMike Effenberger- Piano\nBrett Gallo- Drums\nScott Kiefner- Bass \nPURCHASE TICKETS

SUMMARY:Will Dailey's $10 Song Tour
DESCRIPTION:w/ special guest Reed Foehl\n$18/Members\n$20/Non-Members \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nWill Dailey is an acclaimed independent recording artist\, performer\, artist advocate and sonic survivor. His sound has been described as a Venn diagram of multiple genres with a rich vintage vibe that weaves through his authentic and energetic performances. There is an artistic DIY spirit fueling all of it\, bringing in the spins\, Billboard charts\, rave reviews and Boston and New England Music Awards. All inspiring\nfamed rock journalist Dan Aquilante to call him “the real deal”. \nHe has shared the stage and studio with Eddie Vedder\, Willie Nelson\, Roger McGuinn\, Kay Hanley\, G Love\, Steve Earle\, and Tanya Donelly. In June of 2013 he was featured on a Stephen King/John Mellencamp project produced by T Bone Burnett called Ghost Brothers Of Darkland County and\, in that same year\, also released an original song he wrote inspired by Jack Kerouac’s Tristessa. Dailey has played at Farm Aid four times alongside Neil Young\, Willie Nelson\, Dave Matthews and John Mellencamp. His 2018 album\, Golden Walker\, hit #1 on Billboards Northeast Heat seekers. The Boston Herald called the album: “A new peak” and named it an Album of the Year. \nAs venues began opening their doors post pandemic in 2022\, Dailey launched his Double Elvis/iHeart Radio produced podcast\, Sound of Our Town – that became an Apple Podcast spotlight. SOOT is a travel podcast about the music in the next town you visit: Not only where to go to hear and experience the best music and why; but what sounds shaped that city or town’s culture and why live music is so vital to our current moment and our existence. \n2022 also saw the release of two new singles “Easy to Be Around” and “Christmas\, Of Course” – which were featured on stations across New England (WUMB\, WXRV\, WMYV) and named Song of the Week on Boston’s AAA station\, WERS. \nWith 2023\, comes the upcoming premiere of Season 2 of Sound of Our Town . As Dailey hits the road the second season\, he is also bringing with him a song that only exists in recorded form on his merch table.  “Cover of Clouds” will be with him exclusively via disc man and headphones on the merch table. A limited number of fans will be able to listen to the 7 minute opus dedicated to Joni Mitchell for $10 and\nleave their thoughts in a book that travels along with Dailey throughout 2023. \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nPart New England folklore\, part Southern charm\, Grammy-nominated songwriter Reed Foehl has an innate gift for hook-laden tunes that linger for days. From traditional folk ballads to barroom sing-alongs\, this tunesmith’s “emotional\, deeply personal lyrics and indelibly infectious choruses…leave the listener with an overriding sense of optimism” (Glide Magazine) — something we could all use a little more of these days. \nFoehl was raised in a small New England town whose folk/Americana music tells stories with a voice that pushes boundaries while paying homage to tradition. Foehl released his sixth studio album – “Wild Wild Love” – in May 2022 which was recorded with The Band of Heathens. \nDusty and patient\, his music is genuine Folk/Americana. He was nominated for a Grammy Award for his song “Fly” co-written with Brent Cobb which was covered by country legend Lee Ann Womack. \nWith a life dedicated to songwriting and music\, Foehl’s five studio albums have put him on the map of the publishing world\, garnering placements in both film and television\, most notably the feature film “Just Friends” and popular vampire series” The Originals.” \nPURCHASE TICKETS

SUMMARY:Seussical Kids
DESCRIPTION:$15/Adults\n$10/Students & Seniors \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nProduced by Acting Out Productions\nSeussical Kids \nDirected by Deirdre and John Budzyna \nHorton the Elephant\, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical KIDS\, a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners\, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus\, Seussical Kids tells the story of Horton\, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos\, including Jojo\, a Who child\, who gets in trouble for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton’s challenge is twofold — not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers\, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule\, danger\, kidnapping and a trial\, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately\, the powers of friendship\, loyalty\, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! \nSeussical KIDS is great fun for the whole family.
