SUMMARY:Almost Almost Famous
DESCRIPTION:Acting Out Presents… \nAlmost Almost Famous\na life on the verge of the verge\nAdults | $30 \nStudents & Seniors | $25 \nPurchase Tickets\n\n  \nWritten by and Featuring JACK NEARY \nMusic Director JON ABRAMS \n  \nA number of years ago\, JACK NEARY set aside his career as an actor and singer to go to work as a director\, producer and… playwright. Since that time\, he has written over 30 full length plays\, many shorter plays and countless scripts for kids and families. His writing has found stages all over North America\, in Europe and even Australia. His plays are available through all the major play publishing companies. Tonight\, he risks life and limb and returns to the stage\, attempting to pick up where he left off before he started typing all those plays. \n  \nJON ABRAMS is a Lowell-based pianist\, music educator\, and performer who maintains a vibrant and multifaceted musical career. By day\, he serves as a music teacher in the Lowell area\, where he directs band and chorus and works to cultivate creativity and confidence in young musicians. He is also the Music Director at Messiah Lutheran Church in Amherst\, NH. \n  \nIn addition to his work in education\, Jon performs regularly throughout New England as a pianist and music director for wedding and event bands\, theater productions\, and dueling piano shows. His repertoire spans classical\, jazz\, Broadway\, classic rock\, and the Great American Songbook\, with a particular love for the music of Billy Joel and Elton John. \n  \nALMOST ALMOST FAMOUS\, a life on the verge of the verge\, will combine stories and songs designed to keep you on the edge of your seat. That means you’ll either be entranced and intrigued by the show\, or it’ll make it much easier for you to stand up if you want to leave early. It’s a win-win! \n  \nPHOTO: Jack Neary as “Professor Plum\,” VCR CLUE and CLUE\, MURDER IN DISGUISE

SUMMARY:School of Rock
DESCRIPTION:The Firehouse Center for the Arts presents… \nSchool of Rock\nThe Musical\nTickets starting at $30 \nPurchase Tickets\n\nGet ready to have your faces melted with this killer rock musical coming to the Firehouse Center for the Arts this summer!  \nRock got no reason\, rock got no rhyme… You better get me to school on time! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock – The Musical is a two-hour\, two-act show (plus intermission)\, based on the hit movie. The tuner follows Dewey Finn\, a failed\, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a guitar-shredding\, bass-slapping\, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out? \nLloyd Webber produced the stage musical on Broadway and in the West End\, penning 14 new numbers for the show\, alongside the original songs from the movie. The composer’s tracks “You’re in the Band” and “Stick it to the Man” are well on their way to becoming rock-solid standards\, while the finale with “Teacher’s Pet” brought audiences to their feet\, eight shows a week. \nAndrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock – The Musical\, with its sensational live kids’ rock band\, is a loving testimony to the transformative power of music. May the spirit of rock be with all who pledge allegiance to Lloyd Webber’s newest hit! \n  \nMeet the Cast\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n\n  \nDirection: James Thomas Turner III \nMusic Direction: Justin Knowlton \nScenic Design: Justin Lahue \nLight Design: Bretton Reis \nCostume Design: Victoria Carot \nProps Design: Olivia Avery\nIntimacy Direction: Maddie Roth \nStage Management: Annie Ketcham \nAssistant Stage Management: Michelle Blouin-Little \nPurchase Tickets\n\n  \n  \n  \n
