DESCRIPTION:$5/All Seats \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nOur Second Act Readers Theater Program presents the comedic shorts of local playwright\, Jack Neary. \nThe Firehouse’s arts education program\, Second Act Readers’ Theater\, is show biz without the stress! Individuals perform while comfortably seated and there is no memorization required. We welcome individuals 55 and older\, regardless of experience\, to participate in the magic of theater. Second Act Readers’ Theater is generously funded in part by The Friendship Foundation. \nJACK NEARY ‘s plays have been produced all over the United States\, in Canada\, in Paris and\, most recently\, Saudi Arabia. He is cofounder of New Century Theatre at Smith College\, and the Greater Lowell (MA) Music Theatre. \nPURCHASE TICKETS\n\nTHE PROGRAM \nThe Dual\nTwo last minute actor replacements for a Jack Neary play. Each have different scripts. Yikes.\n\nJocelyn – Miranda Gualtieri\nJohn – Roger Burgess \nShe’s Fabulous\nBethel and Clarice\, friends and highly competitive actresses\, have just watched the first half of their rival\, Olivia’s performance in “Death of a Salesman”. She’s brilliant. They’re hilariously bitter.\n\nBethel – Maureen Daley\nClarice –Lenora Salvucci \nPat and Marjorie\nA couple whose relationship is drifting apart go to the park and discover a playful way to reconnect.\n\nMarjorie – Robin Chase\nPat – Allan Haley \nFarewell and Adieu\nBethel and Clarice are at the funeral of their rival\, Olivia. Without her to rip apart anymore will they turn on each other?\n\nBethel – Pat Tosches\nClarice – Deborah Baker \nConcede or Die\nA playwright’s fiancé writes a scathing review of his play. How do they move forward after that?\n\nBecca – Mariantonia Boulay\nPatrick – Terry Blanchard \nPearly Gates\nBethel and Clarice are met in heaven by their rival\, Olivia.
