Do you sing in the shower? Do you sing in the car? Do you pretend to record the next chart topper when no one is looking? Did you get goose bumps when Jennifer Hudson, Kris Allen, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert and At Last stepped on stage and into the collective heart of America? Then you should attend the Firehouse Glee Club! You and your friends can sing your hearts out, learn a little something along the way and yes... step out onto the stage with the spotlight on you.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:
JOHANNA HOYT KIMBALL graduated with a Masters in Music Performance from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor’s degree from University of New Hampshire. She has many years of experience performing as a soloist in classical, operatic, and musical theatre in Boston, San Francisco, and locally. Johanna has worked with both children and adults, beginners to advanced levels, as a private instructor and Children’s Choir Director. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and has her certification in the LoVetri Method, a “body-based method of vocal training which draws from many disciplines.” Because of her excellent experience performing on the local music scene and her ability to teach a variety of vocal styles, she has enjoyed sharing her love of music with students young and old. She currently teaches at The Musical Suite, Newburyport, MA and the Cashman School in Amesbury, MA.
JULIE PIKE EDMOND began her academic pursuits in Dance Education and Performance at Columbia College in Chicago and completed her BFA at Bradford College. She has had the pleasure of performing with Brian Crabtree, Caitlin Corbett Dance Company, Exit Dance Theatre, Karen Murphy-Fitch, Nicola Hawkins and WeberDance. Currently she performs with EgoArt Inc. and teaches ballet, creative movement, modern and jazz at The Dance Place in Newburyport, MA and The Ipswich Moving Company Dance School in Ipswich, MA. She currently runs her own dance company, Turnpike Project as well as an independent Shiatsu message practice in Newburyport, MA.
