Pianist extraordinaire George Winston is back at the Firehouse for a return engagement. This year everyone gets to enjoy this extraordinary talent. Winston’s name is virtually synonymous with an entire genre of music – solo piano - but he says of himself, “I’m just a guy looking for a song.” An American original, George Winston’s return to the Firehouse is sure to be a sell-out. Plan early to attend.
His performance consists of pieces from his melodic seasonal recordings, New Orleans R&B piano, stride piano, and more, including pieces from his latest CD entitled Love Will Come - The Music of Vince Guaraldi Vol. 2. The late jazz pianist Guaraldi was best known as the music behind the Peanuts animated cartoon programs. Please join us in support of The Salvation Army by bringing a donation of canned food to the concert. There will be collection baskets at the entrances.
